What are some general issues in education today?

1. i think its just that a lot of kids hate school, they don't care, they see no purpose of it. if students don't care then their grades will drop and eventually they'll just dropout. another problem is that some teachers don't even teach. i've had a teacher who's just sat there, gave assignments, and graded only the tests, which brought my grade down by a lot. to me teachers are supposed to explain the contents of whatever they're teaching, explain thoroughly, and show the kids that they are there to help.
