What has Palin done to embrace health and education issues for children with disabilities?

2. She has not tried to steal more from taxpayers to help fund health and education for children with disabilities.
3. Well, as governer of Alaska she cut state budgets to help special needs children by over 60%. In her personal life she chose to have nad keep a special needs baby but apparantly will be paying others to care for that baby in the future. I have two fairly close friends with children that have Down's syndrome. One child has learned to speak and was potty trained by age 5. The other still does not talk and is in diapers at age 11. Both mothers are appalled at McCain's vp choice and feel that she has no clue whatsoever. The first 4 - 6 months are pretty much the same as with a non-downs syndrome baby. They both love their children but both felt it necessary to quit working or work just part time because of the enormous amount of effort it takes to work with the kids and help them do as much as possible. The cost is also very high, lots of therapy and medical appts. Many Downs children suffer from digestive problems and repiratory problems and can be in and out of the hospital quite a bit.
4. i dont know but with TRIG having disabilities i bet she does now. maybe she should become a middle class minority--see what she does then. and justm you stated that she chose to have and keep a disabled child--according to what she believes she didn't have any choice but to keep her baby. but apparently it was a dilemma or else she wouldn't have kept her pregnancy a secret from everyone (yes even her children) until the last month.
