Elementary education?

I'm going to be a senior in HS. My GPA is 3.289 and am hoping to push it up a little more. I got a 1630 on the SAT this spring. I am interested in studying Education in college most likely Elementary. I've done a little volunteering and am trying to find some more work to do this summer. What colleges in California would you recommend for me with the given info? I don't think I can get into a UC.

1. San Diego State University. It has the best College of Education in California and full range of undergraduate majors and courses to choose from.
2. UC Davis or UC San Diego
3. With the current grade point average of 3.289 you will have no difficulty in attending a university or college of your choosing. A 3.0 or B are the requirements for most schools of learning. Apply to as many universities that you wish to attend. Your goal of becoming an elementary school is admirable. See your high school counselor in regards to go to the universities that you wish to attend.
